Make stenciled Christmas wrap

So today was my Christmas wrapping day, so I decided to make some simple and effective gift wrap. If you still haven’t wrapped your pressies then this quick tutorial may be just what you need for something a bit different.

You will need:

  • Roll of brown paper
  • Cardboard
  • Craft knife
  • Cutting mat
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paint brush
  • Scissors
  • Newspaper

First cut out a few squares of cardboard, and draw a Christmassy shape on each. I chose Christmas trees as they’re really simple. Cut the shapes out with the craft knife.

Next, lay your brown paper out over some newspaper. Lay you stencils on the paper and paint over in a dabbing motion.

Once you’ve covered the area you have rolled out, cut it of and lay it out flat to dry. As the paint is acrylic it shouldn’t take long. Keep repeating the process until you create enough sheets for your wrapping.

And there you have it! All done.

Happy holidays,

Kim Osborne Knockout
